Best 2025 Petrol / Diesel Engine

There is no single "best" engine, as the best choice for 2025 depends on your priorities. For high-performance and long-distance driving, the Cummins 6.7L Turbo Diesel, Duramax 6.6L V8 Turbo-Diesel, or Power Stroke 6.7L V8 Turbo Diesel are top contenders in the diesel truck category, while a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine offers good fuel economy for general use. For specific vehicle types, the 2.0-litre TDI is a reliable diesel option, and a 1.2L NA petrol is a best-seller in certain markets.
